Why Randalls Pasture

Three things that make our chicken different.

Chicks foraging on fresh green pasture inside a Salatin-style chicken tractor

Fresh grass. Every single day.

Our birds live on open pasture in portable shelters that move to fresh grass every morning. They scratch, forage, and eat bugs and clover the way chickens were meant to live.

Nothing in our feed you can’t pronounce.

Non-GMO grain ration. No antibiotics, no vaccines, no growth promoters, no shortcuts. Our birds grow at their natural pace, in the open air.

Processed with the same care we raise them with.

Every bird is processed at a USDA-inspected facility, professionally parted out, vacuum-sealed, and weighed. Real food handled with real standards.

What Our Customers Say

Don’t just take our word for it.

“The difference between this and store-bought isn’t even close. I made the same recipe I always make and just stopped mid-bite. You can taste it.”

— Tony C., Kansas City, MO

“I like knowing exactly where my food comes from and exactly who raised it. That’s worth more to me than any label on a package.”

— Michele K., Butler, MO

Our Story

We don’t raise thousands of birds in a building.
We raise small batches on pasture.

Randalls Pasture started because our family wanted to know exactly where our food comes from. Once we figured that out for ourselves, we couldn’t keep it to ourselves.

We follow the methods Joel Salatin pioneered at Polyface Farms — portable shelters on open pasture, moved to fresh grass every morning. Small batches, daily rotation, hands on every bird. We process two to three batches a year, and most of them are spoken for before processing day.

We’re offering something the grocery store can’t: a farmer you can call by name, a field you can visit, and chicken that was raised the way you’d raise it if you had the time and the land.

— Dave, Becky, Dylan & Whitley
